Our digital marketing workshop is a hundred per cent designed for those who lack digital marketing resources.
Your business will have 85% more chances to succeed if you combine the right mindset along with continuous learning.
As a leader, you should also trust your instincts, brainstorm ideas, be creative, organise and lead your team to digital marketing transformation.
Where do you begin?
This is a practical hands-on workshop. We’ll be using your own industry data; you will work in a duo or small groups to uncover and analyse valuable insights to create customer journey maps. You’ll use this data to uncover pain points in order to design optimised experiences for your specific audience.
The most logical place to start is getting a documented digital strategy out and re-check your goals for the next 6-8 months. Then revising your business’ vision, goals and the monthly, quarterly actions you have in place. From there you’ll know where you are, what is stopping you and find out what is needed next to grow your business.
Your mapping is a key moving part of your strategy and should, therefore, be aligned with your goals. You need to know your audience inside-out. Meaning: their intentions, needs, wants and/or how you will be able to help them. A must-do step.
CMI often shares the following two key elements with the community, that you should remember at all times:
- Understand your business goals.
- What is the mission at hand?
These are great, but I’ve added a third:
- Who is my real audience and Whom am I talking to?
With these core elements in mind, you’ll be able to see your next steps clearly.
So, now you need to think about what type of content you should be creating for your audience.
We like to strategise new plans to help businesses execute online marketing strategies with specific campaigns that deliver measurable results for their clients.
I help small-to-medium sized businesses (SME’s) with digital marketing strategy and tactical implementation. We also love to work with/help startups too, as long they are ready and looking to speed up their tactical marketing efforts. This is an ideal compromise for startups that do not yet have or cannot afford to hire a full-time marketing person.
What will the digital marketing workshop deliver?
I will work hands-on with a business/startup owner (s) or managers for a fixed period of time. You should consider this as an investment!
For those of you who practice little or might be unfamiliar with this topic – imagine you’re a customer searching for your own services. They’ve got questions that they’ll pop up and you need to provide them with exact answers.
Now, let’s assume that your prospects were looking for your services/products, but unfortunately, you failed to show up at the top of search engines with the right message, benefits, advantages and so on. Ouch, losing potential clients is hard to accept.
You will learn how to get your fix that. In other words, you will be able to:
- create a digital marketing master plan – along with a roadmap around these moving parts: Voice of the business (V.O.B), Voice of the customer (V.O.C), online strategy, including SEO. You’ll also learn how to install analytics tools to keep an eye on what’s working and not.
- You’ll get to implement a content matrix or knowledge centre in order to feed your marketing tactics (campaigns) that in return will resonate and deliver your targeted audience the information that they really need or want.
For a pre-defined B-2-B project with specific short, medium-term goals we will ask:
- What are the aims and vision?
- How will you achieve your goals?*
- What will be the first 6 months strategy to get you there?
- How will you get there?
- How will you apply it? etc.
We then resume all of that in one worksheet alignment/performance tool (below) to see where you are lacking skills.
We will use/share a visual graphic mapping exercise to highlight your competencies, brand message, lead generation, etc. You will learn how to identify your ideal customers and how to check on your main competitors.
We’ll then continue to look at your market analysis and draw a first report which will be then aligned with your business’s objectives. Once this stage is completed, we can implement the planning aspect showing you where to prioritise.
In other words – how and when you’ll get there, who will do What and when. We wait until the project is up and running, then control and draw the first conclusions. These steps can save you up to 2-3 months. Bear in mind that these are just high-level stages giving you an idea of how it all works together.
What is included?
Our bespoke digital workshop will include the following:
- How to run a market & competitor research,

- How to put all in One-page strategic plan (OPSP),
- Plus many other tools and checklists included.
We will also run through a quick Web content management system exercise. This part of the workshop is useful to understand how to get the best out of your CMS but also needed to boost confidence and knowledge.
You will get a one-day fast-paced workshop. At the end of which, you will have created your content marketing plan, developed a good understanding of tactical and operational positioning, but also channel distribution/promotion.
The Digital Marketing Framework
I will present and work around S.O.S.T.A.C framework** – along with great tools, along with my own digital marketing plan (one page), and market interpretations.
Too often marketers and entrepreneurs go along with their own guts as they think that they know how to or can tackle everything in their path. This is a mistake.
I see sometimes brands getting super-focused on creating great content, without consulting the #businessintelligence team that they missed that small detail, resulting in a missed organic place. Those important keywords are needed to attract and resonate with their audience.
Yes, ending up missing vital clicks and revenue (conversions) opportunities.
These are the same people who too often handled marketing, sales, tactical implementations, outbound marketing etc. Let’s say few people can do that.
Yet, digital marketing is evolving so fast and we recommend you have a solid framework to win more leads.
Of course, we’ll assess your skills, priorities and focus on strategy and tactical implementation after.
(*) Example: Freemium model – When selecting this model, you’ll offer the initial service at no cost to the end-user. This is a great way to introduce the basic-level service free of charge and start building relationships with prospects. They will become customers when you introduce them to paid services at a later stage. Did you know that Spotify started with this type of model?
(**) S.O.S.T.A.C (is a digital marketing planning model developed by Paul Smith).
