This is a practical hands-on workshop course. We’ll be using your industry data; you will work in duo or small groups to uncover and analyse valuable insights to create customer journey maps. You’ll use this data to uncover pain points in order to design optimised experiences for your specific audience.
The most logic place to start is getting a documented digital strategy out and re-check your goals for the next 6-8 months. By revising your business’ vision, goals and the short and medium-term actions, you’ll get to know where you are, what is stopping you and see where you are going next.
Your user mapping is a key (moving) part of your strategy and should therefore, be aligned with your goals. You need to know your visitors/ users inside-out, their intentions, needs, wants and/or how you will be able help them. A must do step.
CMI often shares the following two key elements with the community, that you should remember at all times:
- Understand your business goals.
- What is the mission at hand.
These are great, but I’ve added a third:
- Who is my real audience and Whom am I talking to?
With these core elements in mind, you’ll be able to see your next steps clearly.
So, now you need to start thinking about what type of content you should be creating and sharing with your audience.

Let’s assume that your prospects are browsing for your services/products, but you failed to show up at the top of search engines with relevent benefits, information. Ouch, losing potential clients is hard to accept.
By attending our digital marketing strategy workshop you will learn how to fix that.
In other words you will be able to create a digital marketing master plan – along with a roadmap around these moving parts: Voice of the business (V.O.B), Voice of the customer (V.O.C), Content strategy, and SEO.
You’ll get to implement content marketing tactics/campaigns to deliver your targeted audience what they really need or want.
For a pre-defined B-2-B project with specific short, medium-term goals we will ask:
- What are the aims and vision of the business?
- How will you achieve your goals?*
- What will be the first 6 months strategy to get you there?
- How will you get there?
- How will you apply it? etc.
We then resume all of that in one worksheet business alignment/performance tool (below) to see where you are lacking skills.
We will use/share a visual graphic mapping exercise to highlight your competencies, brand message, lead generation skills, values etc. You will learn how to identify your ideal customers and how to check on your main competitors.
We’ll then continue to look at your market analysis and draw a first report which will be then aligned with your business and campaign’s objectives. Once this stage is completed, we can start the implementation planning aspect showing you where to prioritise.
In other words – how and when you’ll get there, who will do what and when. We wait until the project is up and running, then control and draw first conclusions. These steps can save you up to 2-3 months. Bear in mind that these are just high-level stages giving you an idea how it all works together.

- How to create (and follow) a case for content marketing,
- How to execute (mapping) SEO strategy,
- How to put all in One page strategic plan (OPSP),

We will also run through a quick Web content management system exercise. This part of the workshop is useful to understand how to get the best out of your CMS, but also needed to boost confidence and knowledge.
You will get a one-day fast-paced workshop. At the end of which, you will have created your content marketing plan, developed good understanding of tactical and operational positioning, but also content marketing channel distribution/promotion.
The Digital Marketing Framework
I will present and work around the S.O.S.T.A.C framework** – along with my own interpretations and adaptations.
Often entrepreneurs think that they know how to or can tackle everything in their path. They often handle marketing strategy, sales, tactical implementation, outbound marketing etc.
Let’s say few people can do that. Yet, digital marketing is evolving fast and we will assume that you need a solid framework to start with. Of course, we’ll assess your skills, priorities and focus on strategy and tactical implementation after.
